Dr. Sandra Rodriguez-Palacio is a board certified Gastroenterologist specializing in Hepatology. She was born in Habana, Cuba and emigrated to the U.S. with her family at the age of 14. She completed her college education at Florida International University. Then attended Ross University Medical School in the Island of Dominica where she completed her medical education. Subsequently, she joined the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida where she completed her Internal Medicine training as well as her Gastroenterology training. Lastly, she also completed a Hepatology fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
Her clinical interests include management of esophageal disorders, colorectal cancer screening, and diseases of the liver including management of hepatitis C and cirrhosis.
Dr. Rodriguez is fluent in Spanish and English, and speaks basic Portuguese. Her education and live experiences thus far have shaped her into a hard working, dedicated, and compassionate person; qualities that she brings into her everyday practice in caring for her patients. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and pet dogs, traveling, cooking, reading, gardening, exercising, going to the beach.
